This was done on dark blue scrapbook paper. I thought it had enough "tooth" but after about two layers it wouldn't take any more pastel. It just flaked off. I was looking at the pear from above and don't like the position where I put the highlights.

I think it looks good here though. It almost looks metallic and the paper looks a little like velvet! Strange, the effects it has! I am enjoying your study!!
