I have always liked the paintings by John Nieto. You know the words to the old song, "Zing went the strings to my heart", I don't know the name of the song but I think Judy Garland sang it in an old movie. Anyway, Every time I see a painting by John Nieto ZING goes the string to my heart. If I could have just one famous painting in the whole wide world it would be his painting of a coyote.
So I tried to attempt to do something in his "style". I wasn't able to get the vivid color h uses (he works in acrylics) . I didn't come close to succeeding but it was an interesting challenge.
